What’s the #1 mistake founder make pitching to VCs? I took 34 meetings with founders last week. 8 made it to DD. The main reason: selling too much. If you’ve been a VC long enough, you smell desperation a mile away and it kills a pitch instantly. What does that look like? - Talking for 80%+ of the 30 min time. - Asking no questions about the VC. (If u don’t care about who’s on your cap table, red flag). - Overselling traction. If your raising, especially for first time, this market is brutal and prepare to get a lot of nos.
