$70 for a doctor’s visit. $30,000 for a surgery. I’m calling on each Member of Parliament to decide.  Either staff up & save our public health care system. Or allow funding to be used to set up for-profit clinics that will poach doctors and nurses. I know where I stand.

What can GPs and Peds do to mitigate that? These are viral illnesses without a cure, right? So unclear to me what community Peds can even do...

To be clear: I'm a parent. I'm an active clinician. I'm a public health scientist. I'm likely way left of you politically. I think the evidence of benefit of masking young kids is negligible and the potential for harms credible. And I don't want my kids wearing masks in school.

I spent 23 years as a Liberal. I had dozens of debates with Conservatives and NEVER ONCE felt silenced or belittled. I became a Conservative 2 years ago. Now I deal with more hate, censorship, character attacks and lost relationships per month than the prior 23 years combined.

Push for masks is in response to RSV & Flu, not just Covid. It's unprecedented. Public Health measures & gov't mishandling are to blame. Cloth masks don't stop airborne virus. Almost half Ontarians don't want a mandate. Don't force them to wear a mask against their will! #onpoli
