What a wrap! We started conceptualising #AlgoX24 (algoxconvention.com) after a visit to GIFT City towards May-June 2024. GIFT is India's first fully operational smart city, and what better venue to host an Algorithmic trading conference where we believe being smart is actually to automate trading rules There were ~200 people and many viewers joined us on Live Stream from different parts of India and the world. The attendees and crew was spread across 3 hotel venues (as last minute resulted in hotels being sold out !) and we there were 35+ distinguished speakers and panelists from across India and International (via online streaming). 11 participating sponsors were the financial backbone and 8 partners helped in execution, digital media marketing, operations and logistics. One event agency took care of production and the venue arrangements were at the GIFT City Club (member of Radisson Individuals) Over cups of chai and sutta, hundreds of interactions and mini networks got built. A product launch between a sponsor and partner was also witnessed. As the Algo Trading space is just getting mainstream, we could sense the buzz and excitement amongst all attendees. A mighty thanks to the all the folks and organizations who made this possible. Gautamda @gautam_icma suffered a heart attack and was admitted to a nursing home. His daughter came back from Bangalore and last evening he spoke normally . Later he suffered 3 heart attacks in a span of a few hours and was put on ventilation. Suffered another today morning, heart stopped but was brought back. The last attack again came today evening around an hour ago and he succumbed. Today I lost one of my most dearest friends and my first mentor . Please don't call or WA me , not in any condition to speak .
