My near death experience(summarised) Today marks 10 years of God's faithfulness for keeping me and my daughter alive. It is a proof that God is merciful and kind. I had a smooth pregnancy journey. After 40 weeks with no labour sign or contractions, the doctor decided to assist with some drugs to induce labour. I was admitted on a Wednesday15th March but I didn't deliver my baby until Saturday 19th March. Labour started and was progressing till I was 6 cm dilated and labour stopped progressing; then everything changed. Water broke (membrane ruptured), the baby was breathing too fast (fetal distress), and my body became extremely hot, blood pressure was going up, Nothing seemed to work to regulate me, I mean we went from 0 to 100 real quick. Everyone was confused and didn't know what to do to stabilise me. I was placed on oxygen immediately to help the baby stay alive 🥺. It was really scary. Everyone was crying. All the drugs they administered to calm my system didn't work—in fact, things became worse. I was advised to undergo an emergency C-section to save the baby. We all agreed, consent was signed, and as I was about to be wheeled to the theatre, the lights went off. Strange, right? We thought the power would be restored soon, but no. The hospital generator didn't come up either. Then I knew this was no longer natural. Right there on the bed—weak, bleeding, and almost losing my life—I said a silent prayer that I would not die and my baby would not die either. God sustained and preserved both our lives until power was restored after 2 days and the CS was done. The doctors said that even if my baby made it, she would need an incubator to survive and a whole lot of complications but this girl is a fighter—she came out very strong and nothing was wrong with her. It was a MIRACLE. we named her ARAOLUWA meaning the" Wonders of God" indeed our God is a wonderful God. She turns 10 today! 💃💃 I still don't know how we both survived that scary moment, but God kept us by His mercy.🙏🙏🙏 Help me wish my beautiful baby a Happy 10th birthday 🎂
