Kal always has a pep in his step! The bat-eared fox is a small, African fox known for its enormous ears, which can grow to over 5 inches tall! They can rotate their cup-shaped ears independently to pinpoint the exact location of prey.

Kal the bat-eared fox showing his digging skills. These massive ears help them to hear insects (their primary food) from long distances and even locate them underground. The ears also help regulate body temperature in the hot African climates they inhabit.
