Sad that Ted Williams was ashamed of his Mexican roots. There was a lot of racism against Mexicans in the San Diego of his youth. But his Mexican American mother virtually abandoned him. If his mother had been like mine, “The Kid” would have been a proud Chicano #TedWilliams
