Something I lost sight of when I was day trading was the reality of returns. You can reasonably get .5-1% returns a week selling options. If you are able to now withdraw much of that and compound it, it will start to add up quickly. One of my biggest regrets was to get into active trading. I was profitable but I was also miserable. I found I was unable to separate life from trading, I was always on. Selling options I haven't been at my computer for an open in at least a month. I have large chunks of the day where I don't even think about the markets. I used promote day trading, I will admit at least for me I was wrong. Made me uptight, boring and I even annoyed myself because I found that trading was all I thought about. The "problem" with financial freedom is someone like me who was used to working hard kept looking for ways to put myself back into a prison instead of enjoying the freedom I had worked hard for. I am telling you, put a hard rule around no day trades for a month and it will change your life.

I don't know who needs to hear this but if you step away from day trading to selling options or swing trading for a month.. You will wonder why you ever day traded in the first place. And..You will be a lot more interesting because you won't always be talking about the markets. You actually kind of forget about them.

@benjune @drakesmithgolf @OutlawRider6 The new method I've developed gets you down to just 24 to 30 trades a year, and is the pathway to just 2 to 3 trades per year, which is what I'm personally after.

The lie of trading. . To be honest I think a lot of people get into day trading as a way to escape their lives or avoid their calling. If I am honest I was the latter. There is no freedom in day trading. If you love it great, but don't think it is going to provide you freedom. You will always be thinking about it. There is however freedom in swing trading, selling options and investing. There is real freedom in building something that that aligns with your calling and what you are naturally good at. Through a series of events I had a pretty life altering shift back to golf, something I have avoided for a long time. I realized I had been using day trading as a means to escape my calling. I received a call from an old client on Tour, another from and old client who is turning pro, got a new path with my shoulder and all of a sudden I could play again, and before I knew it I was back in the game. Want to know something crazy? I have been in a blackout period of not talking about trading, not listening to anyone, not trading past the first 15 minutes of the market open and I am on a 35 day win streak using nothing but @Investandbefree LTF IV. I have had 2 longer time frame trades that have gone well using the 4h and Dailey time frames. Here is the difference. Trading is not my focus, it is something I execute on when the setup is there. Building my golf business is. The lesson I have learned is. I don't have to avoid trading like I did golf, but it is not my calling, it is a means to make some money. My advice now would be to build something that pays you without you having to count on risking money in the markets every day. When you do that, trading gets a lot easier. It is much easier to trade when you don't care if you do or not.
