Props to almighty Nikita for the algo tweak. We can actually see more posts from people we follow now. But isn’t that literally what the “Following” tab is for? I’m honestly confused. And it’s even more confusing knowing they’ll probably just tweak it again next week anyway. I think a better move would be to actually log what’s worked over the past year and build one solid strategy off it that’d last for a long time. That way we stop bouncing between random experiments, and they can finally focus on fixing the chat or whatever else is still broken in the app. I’ve always thought the “For You” page was meant to surface more content from the niches you’ve been deep in lately, plus whatever’s trending. Still a good change though. So it’s good tek ig.

I’ve read the wsb piece on tokenized assets & the part that actually stuck was the commodities section. everyone’s stuck on treasuries & stocks.  but oil’s a mess to bring onchain, there’s literally too much benchmarks, storage, delivery contracts, quality grades, & all that. Gold doesn’t have that problem.   One global price, already liquid, already traded through ETFs & futures for decades.  It makes sense it’s first in line. if gold actually works onchain, the rest of the commodity shelf gets a lot more interesting. Worth the read.

I’m going to get this off my chest now, ahead of time If I launch this, I am going to do what I want with this and use my full creative freedom This isn’t a DAO, this isn’t a startup company, this is an experimental NFT focused on art, nostalgia, community engagement, and trying fun on chain ideas If you come in here and get upset that I haven’t built a MMORPG in 1 week, i’m going to laugh in your face (although that would be cool and is possible) I am not forcing anybody to mint this This is an experiment with lots of variables that could go both ways: - is there demand for this art? - is the demand for the characters going to be sustained? - how direction will the world building go? - will the community be engaged with this world i’m building? - is robinhood chain going to stay relevant? - what do i even want to do? - what if someone comes in and offers to takeover the project? Do I plan on doing nothing? No. Absolutely not. I plan on coming out of the gate swinging. I have fun ideas, I am creative, I think outside of the box and zig when the market zags. There will undoubtedly be people who hate what i’m doing, post FUD about it, get pissed off, and throw me under the bus to make a quick buck. This is the dilemma of being a public facing NFT founder. But i’ve done it before, learned A LOT, and i’m now battle hardened. There is no roadmap. There is creative freedom paired with the communities feedback. That’s it. You can map the road from deez nuts to your mouth. For most of you, this post is a waste of your time to read. You know the game. You know me, my past, the good and the bad. I’m excited. Maybe this will be a huge hit, maybe it’ll flop. Nevertheless… My #1 objective with this is to bring back the fun and magic of NFTs. If you were around in 2021, you’re gonna like this one. ✌🏽
