@BSmile @JMWaltonJr @JosephKlandy Hey, might not have been Bill Webb, but Webb was directing MLB in NYC at the time. Webb was in Queens. This was an MSG guy.
English

@BSmile Master class from the director's chair. Got O'Neill reaction and STILL got the Wells fist pump. Chose to linger on dog pile instead of forcing in fan cuts. Wide shot of bullpen bro's sprinting in from left. They should put this work in a tutorial @JMWaltonJr @JosephKlandy

@baseballinpix Check out the symmetry of that photo. Got a photo credit? Kinda needs it.

Willie Mays upset with the call at the plate in the 1973 World Series. Bud Harrelson was on third base and attempted to score on a fly ball hit to left field by Felix Millan.
Joe Rudi caught the ball and threw it home to catcher Ray Fosse. Fosse received the throw up the line in foul territory, and home plate umpire Augie Donatelli was out of position, expecting Harrelson to slide. Television replays from the time suggested that Fosse missed the tag on Harrelson as he crossed the plate, but Donatelli called him out. Willie Mays, who was the on-deck batter, dropped to his knees and vehemently argued the call, insisting Harrelson was safe.Mets manager Yogi Berra also rushed the plate, arguing that Fosse "never touched him".The Mets ultimately won the game 10-7 in 12 innings, with Willie Mays driving in the go-ahead run with the final hit of his career two innings later. The Oakland A's went on to win the World Series in seven games.

@HarryHaris48861 McPhee. No one called this Hobey Baker winner a college pussy.

Pierre Larouche has a hat trick and an assist on a Ron Duguay goal to lead the New York Rangers to a 5 - 4 win over the Boston Bruins in February of 1987. Also George McPhee fighting Nevin Markwart. #PierreLarouche #RobDuguay #NewYorkRangers #NYR #NewYork #Rangers #hockey 🏒 🥅

@mikecommito Check out Pete Mahov in GM 4 clincher. Same Pete who stunned CCCP with Game 2 shorty. The guy had insane talent, size hands, wheels, creativity, shot. Think Rick Nash except he thrived in big games.

That was legendary.. Larry Bird took over Game 7 against the Hawks in 1988 with 20 fourth quarter points on 9-10 shooting.

Nope. I’d go with Steve Carlton but I understand anybody who’d go with Kershaw😎

Chris “Knuckles” Nilan was a Boston kid who became a Montreal Canadiens legend. @KnucklesNilan30
688 NHL games. A Stanley Cup. More than 3,000 penalty minutes. One of the toughest enforcers hockey has ever seen.
But after the cheers stopped, the real fight started.
Injuries. Painkillers. OxyContin. Heroin. Fentanyl. An overdose that nearly killed him.
This conversation goes way deeper than hockey.
We talk about identity… toughness… shame… addiction… and what happens when the thing that helped you survive becomes the thing you have to outgrow.
Now Chris is sober. He’s at peace. And he doesn’t hide anything.
This one is raw.

@Berger_BYTES @BlackAndGold277 In their prime, Im taking Coffey over Bourque. And I was raised in the Hub
English

Tough to argue these names, but I’d have Paul Coffey at No. 2. He’s the most-fluid skater I’ve ever seen and the nearest facsimile, with the puck, to Bobby Orr. Also, I would rate Tim Horton in the Top 10, ahead of Al MacInnis. The donut magnate was an indispensable figure on all four #Leafs Stanley Cup teams of the 1960’s. #NHLBruins #Oilers #NHL #LeafsForever

English

@MickColageo Definitely '74-75 for the reasons you stated plus Dryden has his "bullseye" mask tucked inside his pad which he first introduced that season. Not sure when during the season it was taken but I like your suggestion of the season opening intros so let's go with that. 😀
