@anthonyriera Nice one! Is it SVG-based? We stumbled into the same problem, so we have created avatune.dev with over 100M unique combinations.

Nobody talks about how ugly your app looks when users do not upload avatars. You end up with dead circles everywhere and a generic UI that feels dead. So I fixed that with FaceHashes! > One string equals one fun unique avatar > Full customisable > $ npm i facehash

Everyone dunks on JavaScript performance. I did too, until a Rust-backed Node library changed my mind. Node is already native-friendly: optionalDependencies for platform binaries, and N-API instead of child processes. The gap isn’t JS vs Rust. It’s knowing when to step outside.

Rewriting in Rust wasn’t the win. Rethinking the algorithm was. BlazeDiff started as the fastest JS image diff. Now it’s the fastest open-source single-threaded diff. 4K images: ~327ms vs odiff ~1215ms. ~3x smaller binaries. Smart cold pass, tiny hot pass. github.com/teimurjan/blaz…

A weekend side project turned into a deep dive on porting scientific algorithms from MATLAB to JS. While building SSIM and GMSD for BlazeDiff, I wrote the guide I couldn’t find, a Hackernoon Top Story now. If you’ve tried moving research code into real-world JS, this might help.

@hackernoon 🚀 My article made it to HackerNoon's Top Stories! I recently wrote about building robust JavaScript/TypeScript monorepos using Yarn, Nx, and Changesets. If you've ever felt confused or overwhelmed about managing complex codebases, this guide is made just for you.
