TLDR: if you have a family history of cancer- do genetic testing. Maybe do it even if you don’t. I was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation known as #CDH1. In men, it’s likely to cause stomach cancer. In January, doctors at @MSKCancerCenter found cancer in my stomach. (1/n)

@tommolog @BMW I had a 2019 i3 REx! It was a great car! The lease payment was so low because no one was buying them 👌. This was the car that convinced my family that we could go all electric!

12 years ago today, I took delivery of the first @BMW i3 REx in the US. What's amazing is that the i3 still looks more futuristic than 99% of the cars on sale today. It was truly a car ahead of its time. Pictured here with my client advisor, Manny Antunes, during delivery.

@mvanhorn @ppressdev I built a skill based on browser automation for Instacart automation. No private apis. Used it to cross check Costco vs Grocery Store for best prices. The agent could check if the shopper wrote anything and respond to the shopper. The future is going to be wild.

Still blows my mind that this works. I browser sniffed the Instacart secret apis to make the Instacart CLI using the /printing-press @ppressdev and now I'm adjusting Costco orders in telegram with my voice and anyone can add this CLI in the library.

@wmorrill3 I know @Tesla safety first hand, it saved my life. These changes are a huge deal and make things even safer. No other company would add features to their vehicle safety systems via OTA, it’s truly a world’s first here. Thanks for sharing and thanks for everything you do!

My 2023 Tesla Model 3 saved my life. An oncoming driver made a left turn into the car, causing a full frontal head on collision. The car even called 911 for us, which lead to first responders arriving quickly to the scene. Thank you @Tesla & @elonmusk for building a safe car.

Every one of these dots is an actual crash from the fleet. Real world speeds, collisions, and people. Not just the regulatory test cases. The richness of this data is what enabled the result. With simulation we can replay the crashes and measure the forces on the human body model. Then sweep through restraint deployment times to find that deploying earlier gives the time for the bag to be inflated optimally and seat belt pretension before the occupant has moved out of position. But it takes time for crash accelerometers to be certain. Lowering that time threshold risks unwanted deployments. Using vision gives the vehicle confidence to reduce that timing. The camera sees the impending impact and together with the sensors tell the restraint controller to reduce the filter and act sooner. The Y Axis shift in Predicted Injury Severity is based on sensors in the human body models from rerunning the crash simulations with the faster detection threshold. Such a reduction in injury severity across the spectrum is unheard of, let alone doing this via an update over the air. I'm extremely proud of the analysis team's work and dedication. Going above and beyond to ask "we have the safest car on the road but can we make it even safer?" And then working with the vision team to build the predictions needed to make it happen. Rigorously tested in simulation and then in physical crash testing. Now deployed and improving lives. I watch the video on loop and just imagine each dot, a person.

Tesla Vision allows us to deploy airbags up to 70 milliseconds earlier if your Tesla detects an unavoidable collision This can be the difference between serious injury & walking away from a crash

New release of FSD Supervised now starting to roll out This update brings 20% faster reaction time to further increase safety, among many other improvements Full release notes below Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.3 includes - Upgraded the Reinforcement Learning (RL) stage of training the FSD neural network, resulting in improvements in a wide variety of driving scenarios. - Upgraded the neural network vision encoder, improving understanding in rare and low-visibility scenarios, strengthening 3D geometry understanding, and expanding traffic sign understanding. - Rewrote the AI compiler and runtime from the ground up with MLIR, resulting in 20% faster reaction time and improving model iteration speed. - Mitigated unnecessary lane biasing and minor tailgating behaviors. - Increased decisiveness of parking spot selection and maneuvering. - Improved parking location pin prediction, now shown on a map with a (P) icon. - Enhanced response to emergency vehicles, school buses, right-of-way violators, and other rare vehicles. - Improved handling of small animals by focusing RL training on harder examples and adding rewards for better proactive safety. - Improved traffic light handling at complex intersections with compound lights, curved roads, and yellow light stopping – driven by training on hard RL examples sourced from the Tesla fleet. - Improved handling for rare and unusual objects extending, hanging, or leaning into the vehicle path by sourcing infrequent events from the fleet. - Improved handling of temporary system degradations by maintaining control and automatically recovering without driver intervention, reducing unnecessary disengagements. Upcoming Improvements - Expand reasoning to all behaviors beyond destination handling. - Add pothole avoidance. - Improve driver monitoring system sensitivity with better eye gaze tracking, eye wear handling, and higher accuracy in variable lighting conditions.

💡 Here’s a Tesla app idea: let me type or paste from my phone to the car screen. Would be ideal for entering passwords in the web browser!

Anyone having issues with their Tesla app this morning? Seeing a “500 Server Error” which I’ve never seen before. Of course Bluetooth functions still work fine (lock/unlock/etc). Local control for the win - that is good fault isolation for sure!

There’s a rounding bug in the new Tesla Home SoC. As you can see in my video, the new view displays 1% higher SoC than the car view. I go back and forth between the pages to show that.

@kylecoolky @teslaflexx @Tesla I get the point of defrost but 110 is too high, snow and ice will melt at 90, for example. There are other features like Cabin Overheat Protection that can be configured to turn on as low as 95! The vehicle should not exceed 100 in the cabin imo.

@tekmaven @teslaflexx @Tesla Well the point of defrost is to get the interior so hot it heats up the surfaces and melts all ice and snow. Once you get in it drops down to normal temps pretty quickly because of how cold it is outside.
