I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared. If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about.

I have called for the full release of the Epstein files. I have provided a sworn statement of what I know. And just this week, I’ve agreed to appear in person before the committee. But it’s still not enough for Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.

Protecting Canadians from fraud and economic abuse remains a top priority. Today, I announced that Budget 2025 will introduce new measures to protect our family, friends, and neighbours - especially those most vulnerable to fraud such as seniors and newcomers to Canada. A first-of-its-kind National Anti-Fraud Strategy that will develop fraud prevention measures and policies across sectors, and as a first step will require banks to have policies to prevent and address fraud, while giving consumers more control over their bank accounts. Next, we will create a Financial Crimes Agency to lead Canada’s efforts in combatting sophisticated financial crimes. Finally, we will work with stakeholders and banks to develop a Code of Conduct for the Prevention of Economic Abuse.

@gary_srp You are so outta touch and don’t realize the public don’t trust the RCMP to begin with. They have had so many chances to charge the Liberals and @JustinTrudeau and he has used his powers a PM to side step them. Why should we trust them 🤷‍♂️

For anyone to suggest that the RCMP is engaging in political cover-ups is irresponsible and dangerous. The Conservatives should be ashamed of their leader for suggesting such a thing. On this side of the aisle, we will always respect the men and women that protect us every day.

Since 1947, Canada has supported a two-state solution – Palestine and Israel living side by side in peace and security. Today, Canada recognises the State of Palestine and offers our partnership in building the promise of lasting peace in the Middle East. ow.ly/Hn6H50WZSE7

Since Mark Carney was sworn in as PM we've lowered taxes, eliminated the consumer carbon price and increased investments in affordable housing. Gas prices are down, it's easier to buy a new home, more of your paycheque stays in your pocket. And we're just getting started.

NO ONE was expecting Carney to keep tariffs on the US. That was always a temporary measure. We punched back and made our point. We need to buy time for Canadian workers while we build a new economy based on new trade partners. Carney is NOT retreating he's buying us time!!

I had a productive and wide-ranging conversation with @POTUS this morning.   We focused on trade challenges, opportunities, building a new economic and security relationship between Canada and the U.S., and supporting long-term peace and security for Ukraine and Europe.

@guyfelicella So you are telling me you used to buy American products for years and now you are going to act like you are doing something for Canadians? I think there is a saying for this type of behavior. Nice virtue signaling 🤡

Starting the day off right with a healthy breakfast, and you wanna know what else is great about this? Nothing is from the United States! We've made a conscious decision due to the times we leave in to buy local Canadian or other country products, and it feels great! So, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador are all limiting forest access due to extreme fire risk. Ban backed up by extreme fines and now prison times. Public safety always comes first Grow up and just obey the laws that governments need to put in place.

I just returned from two weeks in Japan, and I have to be honest, it really opened my eyes to how far behind the U.S. is falling in so many basic ways. Some things that stood out: - In two weeks across some of Japan’s most densely populated cities, I saw only two visibly homeless people. - I saw one person who appeared to be struggling with addiction. - High-speed rail made affordable, clean, efficient transportation the norm, not a fantasy. - I never once felt unsafe letting my kids walk freely beside me in public. - Despite having far fewer public trash cans, Japan’s streets had a fraction of the litter. - The country’s reduced income inequality was visible everywhere, from housing to public services. I already know what some right-wing folks will say: “It’s because Japan has low immigration” or “It’s not run by Democrats.” But those are lazy excuses and distractions from the real issues. The truth? We’ve normalized dysfunction in the U.S., and we make excuses for it instead of demanding better.

Starting today, tolls on the Confederation Bridge will only be $20 and ferry fees are being cut in half. That's good for tourism, business, trade and keeping our country connected.

Our new Liberal government is focused on building an economy that serves all Canadians. That means spending less on government operations, so we can invest more in Canada: to build more homes, deliver major projects, and create good-paying careers.
