@wintrbear09 i really completely get that. when i went to hobis tour i discussed it a lot with other people in my circle who adamantly boycotted to decide if tours were even worth avoiding when it was unavoidable for them to sell out. i really understand though if thats not your viewpoint

I never said anything about boycotters before and honestly i understood their stance but you gotta commit to this shit. You can't just do whatever you want and expect it to be without consequence. It just feels icky and performative.

@miyokai0 yeah i havent bought an album of theirs in quite awhile. stopped hosting group orders for them too years ago. the boycott pressure on them was specifically on japanese albums whichi absolutely supported. and same with txt. those are the only groups i actively was buying stuff for

@Unknown_Jams not sure if youre asking genuinely or not but my stance for a very long time (well before this tour was even a concept) has been that tours that will sell out at 100% will never be boycottable! it just isnt realistic at all. however i havent purchased an album or merch in years

@gigiscenery i can promise you i was spending exponentially more on merch and albums than i did on my ticket. also what i am saying is if i didnt buy a ticket someone else was right there waiting to buy it. they were gonna make that money no matter what. thats all im trying to explain

this is very self contradicting…. all the money you didn’t spend buying albums or streaming literally went right back when you bought a concert ticket. i don’t think you guys actually understand what it means to boycott….

@naksum_7g @teeheehyung youre right!!! and again, the reason for concerts just not being an attainable boycott goal (to what i have found) is bc they sell out at 100% regardless of my attending, for better or for worse. whereas merch, every bit i dont buy i hope will make even a small difference.

@teeheehyung ok not even talking abt bts rn but in general this is a horrible and very uneducated way to look at boycotting. if i boycott mcdonalds 95% of the time and 5% i get it bc it is what is accessible to me, it doesnt negate the 95% of the time. some is ALWAYS better than none.
