Normal people don't care about the gender split. I'd be happy to see a 24 woman cabinet if I thought they were the people best equipped to get us ready for what promises to be a hellish year for Ireland. Identity politics is done, it's a luxury from a past we can't afford anymore

@OdohertyI64991 @marie_sherlock Im angry, but the number of women in the Dáil is most certainly not of my angry list! I would have thought Sherlock would have something more intelligent to post.? Perhaps this type of post appeals to her audience? Anyway, we have far bigger issues in this country.

@tellyjohn @Clearpreso It depends on your definition. Certainly more than half a dozen between Labour, PBP, SD and SF. FF/FG may be economically soft left but socially they are also well to the left. We have no centre or right parties except possibly Aontu.

If they'd been an even half decent opposition then they'd be in power. Instead they are (literally) one of the only main opposition parties on the planet not to depose an incumbent in a national election last year. Complete jokeshop politics, policies, and general carry-on

Why are there Africans hell-bent on trying to obliterate the identity of Irish? What did the Irish do to deserve being dispossessed of their sense of self? This is clearly an attempt to mystify the concept so the African migrant can claim an equal right to Ireland as the Irish.

President Higgins has another go at NATO. He would have an entirely different sensibility if he lived in the Baltic states or others that know Russian predation.

As a club, we have lost a hugely committed volunteer who played a major part in the development of the 400 Club into what it is today and the recovery from troubled times in 2005.
