7月29日に母が永眠しました。 寂しくて毎日泣いています。母はだいぶ弱っていましたが、私の中では元気になってくれると思っていました。頑張って仕事には行っていますが、かなりつらいです。心がふさがってしまっています。ごめんなさい。

新潮社より『しろがねの葉』が刊行されました。 「しろがね」とは銀のこと。戦国末期から江戸にかけての石見銀山が舞台です。光のない間歩（坑道）で銀を掘り、生きて、死んでいった人々の物語です。 名前は遺ってはいない、けれど確かに生きていたであろう誰かの姿を、闇に追うように描きました。
