It’s funny how many people jump straight to hating on me instead of having a genuine conversation about the changes. Just because you don’t like an agent doesn’t mean you have to spread so much hate and negativity. It’s crazy how many people can’t have a single original thought and just spew nonsense. I appreciate the feedback though and I’m excited to learn this new version of neon. Much love 🙏

They actually killed Neon movement with this update its so sad. Her core mechanics should not have been touched at all it feels awful to play her now its so slow. Her entire identity as an agent has been destroyed and it feels like a very rushed/quick fix to make the community stop complaining about Neon. I understand that Neon did need a nerf but this was overkill. Not only was her in-air movement nerfed you don't even get a refresh on your fuel with kills. All of these nerfs with no re-work or adding utility back i.e slide/stun. Furthermore, Sentinels are getting a buff which would fix most of the problems with Neon. Also other duelists getting nerfed like Yoru/Waylay made her pickrate go up and made her look like a bigger problem. Instead of nerfing her movement speed, its already a good balance not getting your fuel back on kills. That was the main issue in my opinion. I would also prefer to go back to pre-buff neon slide if it meant I could keep the air-speed. Neons slide is what people complain about the most when it comes to her utility. The shotguns are also still not nerfed enough with Neon. An easy improvement would be to make the pullout time after sliding the same as operator so you can't instantly shoot mid slide. Her slide is still very good post-nerf and so is her ult. I'd like to see a nerf to her ult to balance out her kit more and that would make adding her air-speed back make more sense. I know it's hard to balance agents in VALORANT especially Neon. I just hope that we could find a good balance that isn't just cutting her legs off.

@kjaegern @KKhudoyqulov You missed my point but sure all I care about is “having fun”. Not just changing the entire foundation of the agent. Playing Neon is legit my job so obviously I care about it. (I know it’s my fault I only play one agent)

Final thoughts: - Nerfing Neon’s slide solves most problems - Nerfing shotguns more with Neon would be nice - Sentinels are already getting buffed next patch which will help counter Neon - Initiators are also getting a 10 second cooldown reduction - Air Speed with Neon is what makes Neon unique and her own character (won’t get destroyed by it as much if other changes are in place) - I have thousands of hours on Neon in this game so god forbid I’m passionate about something - It’s legit my job to play Neon so obviously I’m going to care about massive changes (yes I know it’s my fault I only play Neon)

I’ve seen so many people mention “tac fps” as an argument. VALORANT is obviously more than just that. So many different agents and abilities it’s disingenuous in my opinion. If you want just tac fps you can play cs2. Neon hasn’t really been a major problem until Dambi showed how good she can be if you master her. Mostly because her slide is still overturned and makes her look insane.

Yeah I agree the bhopping can be crazy. But you’ll see how gutted Neon is though when she is potentially played on the new patch. I understand how much value her bhopping provides but there is other measures you can nerf to Neon without taking away her core ability she had since launch. Such as greatly increasing the time it takes to regain fuel — the recharge on fuel is already taken away for normal kills in the new patch which is already a massive change that will make a difference.
