AI outputs are not Art. Being an artist requires talent, skill, intentionality, and practice, not just prompts.
Using AI without Artistic ability is no different from a client describing what they want to an artist, only this time, the “artist” you’re talking to is a machine.
And without the work of real human artists whose creations were often used to train these machines without their consent, your “ideas” would remain nothing more than ideas.

AI in the right hands is a great tool. At the end of the day, no one really cares about the tool. The quality of the output is what matters. I took these images and asked AI to turn them into a Wizkid album art. It’s crazy how far AI has come.

I think this persons caption shows how non-technical and uncreative people, see art generally especially in this part of the world.
They’re very uninterested in finding out how a lot of things are made, hence the reason we would continue to have AI generated slop.
It’s why a lot people say “I can just make this with AI” or “use Ai, why you Dey stress yourself”
A lot of people especially Nigerians can’t tell the difference between Ai and CGi, digital art and even graphic design.
