Sometime last year...i raised a point in supporting the abolishing of iri-ekpe (taking your brother's properties when he die without having a son) in my umunna (kindred)...It didn't scale through....I had to wait for elections of umunna to come...I contested for chairman and lost with 3 votes....then i was made the vice chairman unopposed....The opportunity to put an end to that taking over of a man's properties because he didn't have a son now lies in my own hand.... February 8th 2026 being umunna meeting... chairman travelled to China for business meetings and handed full authority to me to be proceeding on affairs of the meeting...I did what I have to do....I used just one meeting to put an end to that trash.....The only way you can inherit your brother's properties in my umunna currently is if he died without having a child at all and the wife die after and leaving no one else that's when you can now enter..... We will keep rising!!!!

This is my childhood friend, Pastor Segun, though a graduate, he “volunteered to be poor” as a Missionary so the villagers can hear the saving gospel. His wife is currently in Nursing school with two kids, why, so she can learn basic medical skills that will be useful to the villagers as part of the recurring outreaches. I was with him last year April, he is ever rejoicing and joyfully carrying his cross, trusting God for monthly provision of his needs and that of his ministry; for more than 15yrs, he is constantly grateful for being found worthy by God to be entrusted with such responsibility!

Let me tell you about the picture in Frame 1. In August 2017, as a litigation lawyer in Lagos, I had work to do that required me to be at the office during the weekend. There was only one problem that weekend. I had a 16 months old son, no nanny and no one to leave him with at home so I asked my boss if I could bring him with me and she was gracious enough to agree. While I was working, my son fell asleep and I had to lay him down on the floor beside my table. In that moment, I took a picture of him sleeping and made a promise to myself that if I ever had my own firm, at some point in that journey, no woman working with me who had a caregiver emergency and needs to be at work will have to lay her baby on the floor. That same day, I thought of my struggles as a breastfeeding mother in the workplace and promised again that no woman working with me who had a baby will ever have to struggle for a private space to use her breast pump at work, relieve her aching breast to focus and save some quality milk for her baby. Frame 2 Today, we finished the renovation of our office building complete with a nursing room. Litigation is tough for women. The firm should not make it tougher. Strichland LP has a nursing room and today, by the grace of God, I kept that promise. ❤️ #WomenInLitigation

@lydiacgeorge I intentionally make my eyes skip deduction segment on my payslip, if not cos of the overtime payment which could have discrepancies, I really wouldn't open the file at all cos the amount I pay in tax is outrageous 😭

Yeah. I feel people should try being separated first before seeking divorce. Being separated brings silence and clarity. Both of u will know if u still want to be married or go ahead with a divorce. And friends should be very very critical with them bcos its a serious decision that they may end up regretting.

So the other day at work, I brought Ogbono soup and poundo. A colleague said he wanted to taste it, so I innocently let him eat from my food. Yesterday he came to work and told me he’d mentioned my “Ogbono soup” to his wife, and now she wants to visit me to learn how to make it for him. I said no, I can just send her the recipe and instructions so she can do it herself, but she’s insisting on knowing where I live. I think it’s a little strange or am I overthinking?
