@KoishiKomeijiFT yeh she holds the most dps in dot by a good margin, so it makes sense for her to be named the dps over hysilens if only naming 1 dot unit as the dps. i used to say hysi was also the dps for a dual dps comp, but tbh numbers reflect she's more like support dps

I don’t know if english is your first language or what but not caring about something does not always have the negative connotation you’re assigning it. I feel like you’re conflating the act of not caring at all with negligence or neglect, where the latter two more specifically refer to a failure by the party not caring. If somebody is trying to tell me that 1+1=5, I can absolutely not care about whatever incorrect conclusion they came to, stick to my original thought process that 1+1=2, and it would be an informed decision. If I was cooking something, didn’t care to monitor temperatures or cooking time, and everything I cooked was raw, that would be negligence. The devs did not care about Cyrene’s doomposting, but it was not on the basis of them being negligent—they were right to do so. That is what you’re saying, and that is literally what they’re saying too as they’ve already said they agree with you multiple times now 😭

@temp6t @Nsknyy @Razor_Language My argument started when they said hoyo didn’t care about player opinions during Cyrene’s beta and that it was proof. Them choosing not to “fix” the imagined problems of uneducated players isn’t a lack of care, it’s a professional decision.

One of the most common practices for shows that have seasons is to talk about what seasons you preferred or didn’t like. It makes sense to have them separate on a rating site I do think there should be measures that weigh against ongoing seasons though, like a grace period before they start appearing on the ranked list

@temp6t I don't really think you can be a fan of a game unless you've experienced the game, which naturally translates to actually playing the thing. You can be a fan of the characters, story, presentation etc, but games are intrinsically tied to their gameplay

It’s objectively true that the state of being a “fan” of something has never required physically doing it yourself. You could ask this about any sport, activity or hobby. Idk what’s people’s obsession with jumping over hurdles to somehow separate this logic from games The whole elitist thing is dumb though imo. It’s not an elitist take, it’s just an incorrect one. Calling it elitist is probably just as dumb as the original take itself

a lot of viability discourse is dominated by those who 0 cycle, so often people who don't even play for 0 cycles will just copy/paste their opinions, even in contexts like sustain teams that have nothing to do with 0 cycling (besides hyacine+cas/en, and phainon+dhpt to a much lesser extent) also comes from from people who just stare at acetaria/tuopaimf to dictate their opinion on a character's strength, generally determined by how low the cost is
