As I Lay Dying is a great band and one that has definitely had an impact on LEGION, and I’m sure their influence will still be felt as I continue making work for this project.

The band has also directly inspired or influenced entire songs that I’ve written for LEGION, such as “Blood Covenant” and the recently released “The Fading.”

Perhaps Legion would’ve happened without Dimmu Borgir’s influence; it’s hard to tell. But regardless, I certainly have them to thank for partially inspiring the music I’ve made for this project.

The writing of this song, and a few others written prior, spawned a creative burst that led to the writing and release of the debut album, and subsequently my continued work with Legion.
