Exactly 14 years today, I was involved in a plane crash. The plane, a Boeing 737 operated by ADC Airline, was on a passenger flight from Lagos to Sokoto, via Abuja. After a short stop at Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, Abuja, the plane took off again, heading to Sokoto with 100 passengers and 5 crew members. But some seconds or a minute after take-off, the plane began to loose altitude, crashed and burst into flames. The pictures below show the remains of the plane. At least 96 people died in the crash, my heart goes to these people and their families however, out of this wreckage God brought me out alive without serious injuries. How God saved me in this crash I can't explain but I am grateful. Today, I raise an altar of praise to God. please do me a favour if you are reading this, as you take a few seconds to lift a voice of praise and thankgiving to God on my behalf. If the quorum of the Rivers State House of Assembly must be 11 members at all times because of the 32 state constituency seats, not minding the provision of the constitution that says that A state Assembly can sit not minding the vacancies in it or in the absence of any member(s), why did Wike swear in a Chief Judge of Rivers State, Honourable Justice Adama-Iyayi Laminkara on Tuesday, 8th of March 2016 after her screening and confirmation on Monday, 7th of March 2016 by just 9 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, not up to 11 members? The membership of the house was just 10; 9 PDP and only 1 APC (Honourable Victoria Wobo Nyeche). Why did Wike not wait for there to be bye-elections to fill in the vacancies created by the nullification of the elections by the Court of Appeal in 22 out of 32 state constituencies than writing to the then-Speaker, The Right Honourable Adams Dabotorudima to screen and confirm Justice Laminkara? The decisions taken by the House of Assembly under the then speakership of The Right Honourable Ehie Edison in December 2023, including to approve the 2024 appropriation bill stands after Martin Amaewhule had on the 11th of December 2023 read the defection letters of 27 of his now committee of friends on the floor of the Rivers State House of Assembly and sealed their defection to the APC from the PDP with the deposition of an affidavit to that effect in court. Because it affects Wike today should not make the right thing to be seen as a wrong thing. What is the sauce for the goose is the sauce for the gander. That's it and that's all.
