I build high-performance decentralized applications on the Solana blockchain, but my biggest daily challenge isn't smart contract logic, it's having a stable source of working and charging devices
I'm a mathematics undergrad in Abeokuta, Nigeria, and a full-stack Web3 developer. Recently, I built and deployed a decentralized merchant terminal using Next.js and Node.js, and just before that, a tool from the ground up to showcase smart contract integrations. But behind the screen, the reality is a lot less glamorous. I live with several housemates, and we regularly have to pool our money together, literally 1k(in naira) each, just to buy enough utility power to keep the lights on for a few hours to get things done
I recently celebrated my university sign-out, but I have an extra year left to finish my math degree. $5,000 wouldn't just be a prize it would be a complete paradigm shift. It means buying a reliable solar setup so my work isn't at the mercy of the local grid.
