Before he was even 5 months old, doctors told us our middle son, born with a rare chromosome deletion, would likely never walk. That moment haunted me. I searched everywhere for comfort - books, forums, conversations - but nothing truly eased the weight of what we were told. And that’s not a knock on anyone who tried to help. It’s just the raw truth of how isolating that kind of news can feel. But we didn’t stop there. We pushed forward, through years of therapy, relentless effort, and the kind of hands-on, all-in family support that can’t be measured. Slowly but surely, it started to show. Progress. Milestones. Possibility. Today, he’s out on the lake with his brothers and his mom, commanding his own kayak with control, confidence, and pure joy. Watching him paddle out like that… it hit me. There are so many lessons wrapped up in this journey. But the one that echoes the loudest is this: Never be the limiting factor in your child’s life. Believe in their ability to chase the impossible. Let them try. Let them fall. Let them try again. That’s how they grow. That’s how we grow. And today, my son reminded me, again, that no expert can predict the size of someone’s spirit. For almost 4yrs now, it has been my greatest honor to be a part of @Omen4Omen & @_nemonium 🅾️💀 From Day 1, @nemo13 & I had deep discussions about our history in this industry, our beliefs in sovereignty & real connectivity of community that transcends the buzzword From what this industry meant to us, what the people in this space meant to us, what real community, art, artists, collective participation & access meant to us... I'm not a full stack developer, nor am I a venture whale, but I am someone that believes to the core & fundamental corners of my being, that not only can we all collectively connect & contribute to this space together, but the path forward to doing so would mean to emulate all that we wanted to see in this space that was either lacking, exploited, or sparsely represented during the hype & flows of a market that increasingly grew, yet felt less aligned & connected as that saturation & emotion bled into every sector of this industry My small way of contributing was to try my best to make every decision, interaction, & effort about everyone else, as was Nemo's far more impactful contributions at the helm We wanted to represent artists because of their talent, as they established the backbone of the NFT scene, regardless of how much technology, use cases, or value prop changed - art that lasts is more than a meme, but the captured talent of amazing individuals that give a representation & rallying point for those who appreciate their work To give back to community as much of the rewards, royalties, discounts, opportunities, etc. as feasibly possible, as those individuals that believe in us & each other are the lifeblood of any community that isn't simply pretending to be a solid unit, using a blip of hype alone as a business model. I never wanted anything from this, only to try to support others To "build each other up" & make each other better, growing from many small, unnoticed accounts that weren't in the KOL circles, but were far more genuine, talented, caring, & creative than anyone would assume - give them a voice & grow everyone together so that we can sharpen & strengthen one another in this journey In a space full of innumerable quiet end points, of failures or silence, of abandonment & apathy - we carved out our oasis in this digital desert for our worldwide community, across chains & oceans alike, & I've made so many friends for life throughout nearly an entire crypto cycle together - I would not trade that for any role, clout, payment, or promise, because that is my true measure of value & what I wanted to contribute to this ecosystem I am so fucking proud & honored to be a part of something so special, because regardless of the ebbs & flows of chaos in this space, or anyone's opinion to the contrary, I always knew what we have is Special One day at THE time, we all contributed that same ideology, care, attention, creativity, & belief that it takes to anchor a village, or materialize a dream, & the real alpha isn't found in some pay-walled chat, but side by side with one another, growing, learning, sharing, supporting, & believing in each other Thank you to everyone that makes our ecosystem something that can't be bought, templated by marketing, orchestrated on a whim, or fabricated under the surface. I believe in you, & by extension, together, I believe in all of us to a degree that can't be replicated by any other forces but time & love for what we do & why we do it Omen On Top means all of us together on top, & to succeed, endure, or grow in a way that truly makes a lasting impact on each individual that contributes, the tide must always try to raise all ships, not just the lead, the largest, or the loudest boat If I could ever have one ask of all of those who came together over the last 4yrs, it's try to emulate that same shared vision for a space that actually cares about each other, quality, connectivity, & real community We press forward the only way that matters - together
