@sfzoo wait i have a female named Daintree! she’s a frog though, considerably less dangerous. I’ve met plenty of critters with the same name as her brother (Tully) but never another Daintree!

Cassowaries are known for their boom calls, a low frequency rumbling vocalization that keeper Liz says is so low that it’s hard to record, but she did get male Daintree making these deep, gutteral sounds, that are impressive! Cassowaries vocalize for long distance communication and mating, to signal a threat or make alarm calls. They also make territorial sounds and even clack their bills together to discourage intruders from approaching. And here, Daintree was mostly interested in Liz’s phone!
