UV protection is important all year round, all day, whether it’s winter or summer, in sunny conditions or even on cloudy days. All Zeiss lenses (including clear lenses) provide 100% UV protection, which is just like sunscreen for the eyes, all year round!

All our practice staff are very grateful to have had their second Covid vaccination now and will continue to complete a twice weekly Lateral Flow test, use PPE and undertake full sanitisation to ensure our practice is a safe place for you to visit.

All our staff have had their first Covid vaccination and complete a twice weekly Lateral Flow test to ensure our practice is a safe place for you to visit. This is in addition to us continuing to follow strict professional guidelines, including full sanitisation and use of PPE.

To reduce your risk of eye disease include omega-3 fats (oily fish), and lutein (eg spinach and kale) in your diet. Vitamins A, C and E are also helpful, and if you have a family history of macular degeneration, ask our optometrist about taking nutritional supplements.
