I rly think we as a society under estimate how profoundly we're psychologically damaging people. LOL cuz I get in trouble so much a lot of ppl ask me for advice and whatnot after they get some kind of online infamy or a rly bad roast so I have a pretty good sense of the psychological toll it takes on people and it seems like an incredibly traumatic event that can take years to recover from or people end up with psychic wounds that impact everything, and make them start being extremely neurotic about how they are perceived for years.
I don't have data and it's just an observation but it seems like the strongest people who also work in some capacity in media or as a performer and decide to keep interacting publicly still generally seem to say it takes about a year to have it stop being a rly visceral nagging body anxiety
We definitely evolved in a way where mass social rejection or humiliation equals death and people definitely have an extreme fight or flight response to it that is very over reactive cuz of this (like the same way a lot of people are overly scared of harmless spiders or needles)
I think humans can also be very damaged by identity / ego stuff (why some of you shud be a bit kinder to trans people) cuz it seems infinitely worse when the thing they're cancelled for is fake versus real. There's something profoundly disturbing about a lot of people thinking you and your values are very different from who you are. I don't rly mind getting super roasted for saying a stupid or rude thing , like im fairly immune to that. The only ones I stew and ruminate on are the ones that are emphatically false (like one time a label I used to be on used my name to apply for a covid relief grant and people thought I did like a financial grant scam to get free money during covid - and for some reason even years later this sticks in my head and bothers me - despite people not seeming to remember this and it generally not being super important in the context of reasons there's a grimes hate club.
Mental health doesn't seem super caught up to this cuz it's new and it sorta changes too. I find the monkey brain framing is super helpful to people. When you realize ur body is over reacting the pain level suddenly makes sense and it's easier to look at the pain from the outside and understand it

@ne0prene @glass_cage_ This is a reasonable first project — I’m a month into (re)learning Max and the knowledge compounds exponentially, you won’t regret it

@FedeItaliano76 Sorry, but the word "beauty" cannot be applied to these monuments to corporate greed and climate degradation, even with your "dystopian" modifier. They are also an aesthetic blight on the marinescape.
