If DC used Natasha Irons to her full potential, they would have had their own Riri Williams long before Marvel.

@Rebel0fReality Honestly, reading your explanation here makes me feel like it's actually reflective of character. Clark is mixing together human and Kryptonian culture, but he also doesn't know anything about Kryptonian culture, so it makes sense it'd be a little messy. Kara's from there.

….that said if I were to be a bit more critical and try to explain why so many people think the Supergirl suit is just far superior to Superman’s, I think the reasoning is quite straightforward. Superman’s suit is just tossing way too many ingredients into a singular design. It wants to have the colors and energy of the Christopher Reeve suit but also wants the slightly loose fitting portrayal of All Star Superman yet wants to then add in elements of the more militarized New 52 suit such as the collar and lines and then it also wants to implement the Kingdom Come symbol but swap the colors to the classic red and yellow and then add in the Fleischer trim for good measure. Like there’s ALOT going on here to the point it may struggle to really form a coherent identity of its own. Meanwhile Supergirl’s suit is far more straightforward. It’s literally just 95% the Woman of Tomorrow suit with small DCU implementations to match with Superman. That’s it. There’s a clear vision and vibe being established. It’s not obsessed or driven in being its own thing more than it is trying its best to bring Bilquis Evely’s beautiful design to life on the big screen. I still love the Superman suit and I do believe it’s a beautiful amalgamation of things, but I think if it was more focused on just adapting one suit from the comics it would’ve made a better impression on most people.

Really don’t have a dog in this weird fight between the El suits. I think they’re both incredible in their own right and compliment each other in very compelling ways. I like the retro design principles that feels reminiscent of space adventurers and something you could actually imagine fashionable aliens wearing. That’s definitely what the lines here are for, giving them accents and texture- but I think they communicate different things about the characters altogether. Superman’s suit feels a bit more thick and square, leaning in on the blue collar work uniform with the squared belt and trunks. He’s an ‘actioneer’ in a work uniform, used solely to perform his job and bring ease and comfort to those he saves. Supergirl’s suit feels a bit more regal in design, based more on Kryptonian wear that she’d obviously be more accustomed to such as the belt and its engravings as well as the gold trimmed boots. The lines are curved and rounded, not as straight and narrow as Superman but instead exudes elegance. Idk I think they’re really cool.

Scheduling this in case the world doesn’t end… but if it does, I guess lesson plans were pointless anyway.

I really can't believe no one told me about the rapture. There are people selling their cars because it's today. I’m just here writing lesson plans like an idiot.

I hate it when ADHD makes you forget the important things. Can you believe I forgot the rapture is tomorrow?

I may have hated her villain costume in Countdown, but there’s got to be some reason her first instinct was a pink reverse mohawk. I want to know what it is!

Mary Marvel is such a complex character whose characteristics were washed away in the New 52 reboot. Rebirth gives us a chance to finally fix that.

Mary Marvel is a character designed to be Billy Batson’s backup. She was never meant to be a main character, and I really think that’s a shame. She deserves her time in the sun, or lightning, if you will.

The Big 2 really do love making characters with the last name Drake queer (Iceman, Robin). Who do you think will be next? 👀 Dinah, maybe?
