@BaseballDudes48 In 44 years of umpiring baseball games, I was occasionally credited by teams with making them lose, but I was never credited with helping a team win. They always did that all by themselves.

Since we all love to throw shame, blame, point fingers at the umpires, the question is if they were to never miss a call, every pitch was called by the book, every safe and out call was made correctly, etc., would a team finish a season with more wins or more losses? Would a player’s ability improve? Would we see better baseball? Since umpires miss calls that both go against us and for us, how would things change if they never missed a call? Would we start to see mentally stronger players, parents, and coaches since now they wouldn’t be able to point fingers at the umpires?
