@teslasing @Waymo In terms of already having approval for unsupervised rides, yes. But behavior-wise, it felt similar to current FSD versions, and I have no doubt that v12 and v14 could handle the route and the driving actions similar or better
English

Some quick thoughts on my first @waymo ride, as a regular user of Tesla's FSD (v12.6.4 and v14.2.2.5):
- wait times were ok, I believe it took us 7 minutes from confirming the ride to the car arriving. But the nearest pickup point was 2 blocks away. I assume pickup points are hand selected based on feasibility, i.e. it won't do busy main roads with no pullout for curbside pickups.
- Very smooth overall performance. No jerky steering, accel, or braking. On par with current versions of FSD.
- my kid started the ride via the rear touchscreen button. Such a cool time to live in where all we need to do is buckle up and hit "Start Ride"
- safety video brief at the start of ride is neat, but wondering if it's skippable for future rides.
- as we approached our dropoff point, the car got stuck behind another car stopped in the lane doing a pickup. It was a solid 1 minute of waiting before our car tried to slowly maneuver around, only for the lead car to finally depart, which allowed our car to move up the ~3 car lengths to reach our dropoff point.
- double pulling the interior door handle to get out is interesting. Is there a reason the door doesn't just unlock and we leave like you would any other car?
- We had family following in their own Waymo ride a few minutes behind us, with the same dropoff point selected. Their car ended up blowing right past the dropoff point, and from where I was standing, I couldn't see why it did that and/or what was preventing dropoff. Their car ended up going around the block and finally arrived to the dropoff point.
- The ride cost us ~$14. Not bad to experience a true driverless ride, but I yearn for @robotaxi pricing (also, come on Robotaxi Android app!)
- We tried to take another Waymo ride back to our start point at the end of our day, but it was going to take 7 minutes to arrive, drive for 9 minutes and drop us off where we'd still need to walk an additional 7 minutes. We ended up walking ~20 minutes to where we needed to go, instead paying the $19 the app was indicating to take a ride back in the same timeframe.
Overall I enjoyed the Waymo ride experience, and will probably ride again during future trips into San Francisco, at least until the Robotaxi app opens up to Android devices! It will be interesting to compare the two services in the coming weeks/months/years.

FSD 12.6.4 to Vallejo ferry bldg > ferry ride to SF > @Waymo to Chinatown. I hardly did anything today in terms of manually driving

NEW APP: FUSIONCAM FOR VIEWING TESLA DASHCAM FOOTAGE 🚀
It's been a long time coming, but today I finally released the first public version of my new multi-camera Dashcam viewer app named FusionCam!
FusionCam is a minimalist app for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS that lets you view Dashcam and Sentry Mode footage from Tesla vehicles in a synchronized multi-camera grid with real-time telemetry overlays such as speed, gear, and Autopilot status. It scans dashcam folders, automatically groups events, and allows you to play back footage or export composite videos with a clean, streamlined overlay.
The app began as a personal project I created for myself to more easily share dashcam clips recorded by my Tesla vehicles. Over time it evolved to the point where I decided to formally release it on the App Store as a complement to the excellent functionality Tesla has already built into their mobile app.
Download v1.0.3 below and let me know what you think!

Big Update for AI3 coming late June

How it feels driving a HW3 Tesla in 2026 after watching videos of V14: ☠️
English

@shawncarelli @Tesla_AI @elonmusk @aelluswamy or atleast let us transfer FSD to pre owned Model S for one month
English

FSD Transfer ends 3/31/2016 - leaving HW3 FSD Owners with no options… Hardware retrofits need to start 4/1! Else refunds need to happen…

The Tesla Model S and Model X are amazing vehicles. Get them while still available!
Tesla@Tesla
As we shift to an autonomous future, Model S & X production will wind down next quarter. If you’d like to own one of them, now’s a good time to place your order. Tesla wouldn’t be what it is today without Model S & X and their (early) owners – thank you for your support over the last decade

@TradeLikeGates Hi Gates, I hope you’re doing well. I’m having trouble accessing my Discord server even though my profile shows it’s active. I have the lifetime package. Could you please help me resolve this? Thank you!

@shawncarelli @Speenuh @teslascope Getting it on the legacy S too. Glad to see it, even beat my HW4 car to the punch!

@Tesla_AI When will Actually Smart Summon come to Legacy S & X FSD Owners?
English

@teslasing Would be great if u could give us a review on how it performs compared to the other 12.6.3 build thx 👊🏻
English

@teslasing Let me know how it goes! I've seen one report somewhere that this fixes/smooths things out, but I'm skeptical since it's the same FSD version #

12.6.3 on legacy model S HW3
-extremely slow for no reason
-goes outside the lane alot
-makes unwanted stops in the middle or the road
Missing my previous 12.5. This version feels unsafe to drive overall I am barely using the FSD i paid 15k for
@Tesla @teslascope @ PLZ FIX THIS

Had my first zero disengagement commutes to and from work this morning, via legacy Model S with FSD v12.6.3. there were, however, like 3 interventions (accel, lane switching) because I wanted to jump into an HOV lane faster than FSD was gonna attempt, but zero actual disengagements. This is a 75ish mile round trip from SF North Bay Area, thru Richmond Bridge (I-780/I-80/I-580), to San Rafael, then back to North Bay (CA-101/CA-37). Prob a 70/30 mix of highway and city streets. There is definitely room for improvement, but this is the first version to hit this milestone for me. 🔥
I'm jotting notes for every drive, and will post something more comprehensive in a week or so.
