@CazWest23 Perhaps the clubs who didn’t respond were of the opinion that it would be forced through anyway
English

@raefil @CazWest23 @FAWNL @WeAreTheFSA The mantra is that the women’s game is growing yet the powers that be allowed a team to be disbanded
English

@CazWest23 @FAWNL @WeAreTheFSA I dont know whether you saw this Carol, I find it appalling. cheadletown.co.uk/news/2026/5/21…

So, despite the repeated and resounding objections to putting PGA teams in the @FAWNL, it looks like it’s happening anyway.
Do clubs, players, supporters & @WeAreTheFSA views really mean so little?
English

@raefil @CazWest23 @FAWNL @WeAreTheFSA All governed by someone who played netball with no idea about football other than what her brothers have told her

@ChrisSmith521 @youngy0102 One regional league has secured a sponsorship with a well known sports company and made it mandatory that a club must purchase 10 footballs from them or face disciplinary action.

The problem being The FA & Leagues being run my dinosaurs, who honestly don't have a clue majority of the time.
No support or protection for the clubs. League will fine you for not playing with their specific ball, but the balls cost £50 a go and you got though 30+ a season. There's £1,500 gone, that's one small example
English

It's very sad to see a few clubs at step 5 and step 6 fold in recent weeks. All of these clubs
mention sustainability as one of the reasons for folding. I truly believe that the FA are a big part of this problem and set clubs up to fail & take on debt! #grassrootsfootball

@wakefield1967 They’ve been going for promotion for the past 9 years and under achieved on 6 figure budgets each season. Best they can do is win the county cup
English

@LUFCwomen @SCLadiesFC Good luck, all. Leave nothing behind. You can do this

Your final CWFC lineup for 25/26
Huge congrats to Grace Vella on her first start after her ACL injury 🙌
Our Captain Megan Searson will play her last game for Chorley WFC this afternoon.
Meg joined in 2017 & has been influential on and off the pitch ever since. Everyone at the Club wishes Megan all the best for the future #4

English

@SoltysiakChris @LUFCwomen With the budgets you have had over the past years you should have walked the league
English

@LUFCwomen We need promotion.Next season who do we need to bring in to make the team win the league ?
English

@HTAFCWomen Is it not a bit premature to say you’ve sealed promotion when you have still to compete in a playoff
English

@thenowherephoto @MENnewsdesk At last a gold commander taking the initiative

90 seconds of pure carnage in Manchester yesterday
Antifa clash violently with Manchester police
What must tourists think seeing this?
Ban masks at protests imo
#antifa
Will the arrest statistics be published or will @MENnewsdesk etc show the truth of yesterday's violence or will it be down to people like @GBNEWS
etc
English

@HTAFCWomen @louisebiggins1 Surely you’re not claiming a clear own goal 🫢

@Since71Blog She has a background of accountancy and Rugby. Hardly woman’s football
English

Been sitting on this all afternoon but the anger at Sue Day’s comments has not subsided.
If she genuinely believes her comments then she is out of touch with the women’s game and not fit for the role she occupies.
Tom Garry@TomJGarry
Sue Day, the FA’s director of women’s football, has defended plans to radically change the #FAWNL's structure, including adding 4 WSL PGA sides to tier three, saying she believes the plans are "vital to securing the long-term success of women’s football.” theguardian.com/football/2026/…
English

@popeyxx @Since71Blog The FA don’t want independent clubs as it detracts from the glamour of the brand. Nothing they say or do changes my opinion
English

@RaddReynolds @Emma_mcwfc Some players are more interested in the badge
English

@Emma_mcwfc Agreed 100% but unfortunately the draw of being signed to a “big club”, often outweighs actually going out and getting minutes at “lesser” clubs.
English

@TomJGarry Let’s hope the PGA teams pay their way. Unlike this season in the league cup / plate where the PGA teams were exempt from a home fixture resulting in the WNL clubs having to host and pay for the venue.
English

Exclusive - big structural changes planned in the #FAWNL
- 4 WSL academy sides [PGAs] could join tier 3 from 2027
- Mid-season split similar to Scotland would come in
- Around £1m of investment pledged
- Enhanced loan system, legal & medical support [1/2]
