Their presence and participation at the groundbreaking ceremony of Ere Iteso is a strong demonstration of the unity and shared purpose they have always stood for in building and strengthening the Iteso community.

The President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has contributed UGX 500 million towards the construction of Ere Iteso, a significant boost to the realization of the cultural home for the Iteso people.

The ceremony is being presided over by the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Jessica Rose Alupo, who is the Chief Guest, alongside other distinguished leaders, cultural figures, and dignitaries who have gathered to witness this milestone for the Iteso community.

The ground-breaking ceremony and fundraising launch for the construction of Ere Iteso is currently underway at the Iteso Cultural Union (ICU) Headquarters in Soroti City. The historic event marks the beginning of a long-awaited project aimed at establishing a permanent Home.
