Jojo's Part 5: Golden Wind ✅
Another Good Part with a Cool Cast and Great Action. What I found most impressive about this one is that Araki SOMEHOW Managed to Level his Art up yet again???? The Fact that this was published weekly is beyond ridiculous.

Jojo's Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable ✅ Another flawless part with the usual bizarreness, this time set in the small town setting of Morioh. Loved The Cast, the Art, the Creativity as a whole and the Ending is probably my favorite one thus far. Just Amazing all around. 10/10

@testkitchen388 @Habbalab Narancia and Trish exist for that reason, the 300 backstories exist for that reason. It's gotten to the point where you're just making things up because you were unable to understand something that was said in the part.

Araki himself said that togashi writes heroes tht arent idealistic and are familiar like an older brother, but that is the opposite for him. Its makes for an unsatisfying character, especially for an mc.

Killua is a genius subjected to intense torture, and while hes incredibly "booksmart", he struggles to explore his emotions

Stoic, no development, no inner monologue that doesn't come from strategizing in fights, no development (not saying he needs it), all contributing to a very flat char lol

@testkitchen388 @Habbalab The difference is that he lets his friends take the lead because the point of the gang is about camaraderie in an individualistic society... Against Ghiaccio, Mista almost died; with Notorious Big Giorno would lose his powers, against the brothers, he could do nothing.

@epicurismocomum @Habbalab What does being on a journey have to do with the inevitable fact that its happening? The impacts and effects of the mafia are get lost in the overwhelming part 3 feeling of the story. The pacing is; introduce goal > 500 fights > final boss. Hardly a compelling story.

The issue is there's an imbalance where you have hundreds of fights that ultimately have little to nothing to do with the characters. This is fiction. You can write meaningful battles

@epicurismocomum @Habbalab Almost died/lost powers and yet its something that does nothing for his character. We never get an insight into his mind. You can barely attribute a tone to his actual voice because its the same tone used for most everyone in jjba whos in a fight. Just analytical.

He lives by his wits, and in truth, he makes mistakes. He almost died/lost his powers to several different villains.

Could you imagine being fully realized and grown at FIFTEEN? Like what are you gonna do for the following 85 years of your life?

@epicurismocomum @Habbalab No the execution is not there lol. That's the biggest issue many have with this part. Parts 3 and 5 are guilty of literally being boss rushes with 0 significance. Part 7 does this far better because our main characters learn something about themselves in the process.
