PL teams love the narrative of underpaying their players when in reality the wages look like this:
Some PL wages with bonuses included
- Wirtz 400k p/w
- Marmoush 350k p/w
- Mount on 250k p/w with CL back

@ahtalksfutbol Sure some of them are earning way too much but there is still a 100m gap between Pool, City thats like 4-5 players on 300k P/W you cant close that gap without increasing your wage bill.

@tetsuGOODY simply put we’ve underperformed our wage bill significantly over the last 2 szns
Our wage bill was 3rd in 23/24 we finished 8th
Same for 24/25 we finished 15th
cuz the players earning those high wages weren’t at that level, was just absurdity
