I have no idea what “conservative centrist” means as it’s a label I’ve never even heard of. I personally think “conservative” would’ve been a simpler and more accurate label anyways.

@L0rdRevan_ This is reason #554 why the Sequels are the worst, but reason #1 why the Prequels cannot be canon without a lot of mental heavy lifting and gymnastics. What the Prequels did to the Jedi is insane, and it makes Luke not a real Jedi if that’s what being a Jedi means.

Had the Disney Star Wars had actually smart writers they would have picked up that the moral code of the Jedi (detachment, generic compassion, even complete dispassion) in the prequels fails them. Luke Skywalker defies Yoda to save his friends and father, and is vindicated.

There is no path back to sanity if people insist on re-fighting the 30-years war. Catholics have been in America since its inception. The U.S. is a functionally Protestant country. The theological disputes are not politically active, and we are generations away from any real territorial dispute.
