@DrBenTapper1 They’ve built this “tower” off the coast of France. The thinking is that humidity above the ocean is about 100%, so rather than desalinating the ocean, they hoover up the water vapor. If it works, we don’t have fresh water problems anymore.

AI data centers can use up to five million gallons of water each day. Am I the only one concerned about how this could pose a serious threat to our farmers and our food supply? What happens when these centers seriously strain our aquifers and dry up irrigation systems? Is it really worth it?

@sley_Xk I let nothing slide. After six years of hell, my wife has been successfully liberated from her mind viruses. The process liberated me off many of my own mind viruses as well. Unpopular opinion, relationships suck for years now bc we need to deprogram each other

I don't think women realize how much we let slide, just for the sake of peace.

@TimePreference_ That depends on the tariff, it depends on the timing, and it depends on what tariffs exist in trading partners against us. It functions similarly to a Laffer Curve. One cannot say that tariffs are all one way or another just as one cannot say that taxation only behaves one way

tariffs don't protect domestic industry they protect inefficient producers at the expense of consumers every tariff is a tax on your purchasing power to subsidize businesses that can't compete
