ZAMBIA SHINES ON THE GLOBAL MINING STAGE!
Big news for the "Land of Work and Joy!" Zambia has officially climbed the ranks in the 2025 Fraser Institute Annual Survey, confirming our position as one of the most competitive mining destinations in the world.
This isn't just a number, it’s a massive vote of confidence from global investors in Zambia’s economic turnaround.
The Highlights:
📈 Global Ranking: Zambia is now 25th in the world for Investment Attractiveness (up from 28th!)
🦁 African Powerhouse: We are now ranked 3rd in Africa, trailing only Botswana and Morocco.
📜 Policy Gains: Our Policy Perception Index jumped to 30th globally (up from 38th), proving that the world noticed our push for stability, transparency, and better governance.
What is Driving This Success?
It’s a combination of our incredible natural mineral wealth (Copper, Cobalt, Gold!) and the New Dawn Administration’s commitment to:
✅ Predictable mining policies.
✅ Stable macroeconomic reforms (targeting 6–8% inflation).
✅ Debt restructuring and fiscal discipline.
Since 2021, investors have already injected approximately US$12 Billion into the mining sector. This momentum is the engine behind our goal to produce 3 million metric tons of copper by 2031.
Let’s keep the momentum going! 🇿🇲

@afambeliever What this particular pinpoints is that there’s evidence that the cash-for-work policy has so far worked, lifting thousands of households out of extreme poverty.
English

@kamona_mubita Quite some traction has been achieved but it’s a complex problem, requiring multiple actors, including the polluters themselves.
