Because if somebody secretly hates you, resents you, competes with you, talks down on you, or don’t genuinely respect you… why would I want my children constantly exposed to that energy? People really be forgetting that a mother will tolerate a lot when it comes to herself, but behind her kids? It’s a whole different type of protection that come out. Kids pick up on way more than people think. They feel tension. They notice energy shifts. They hear things. And they absorb how people treat their mother. I don’t care if it’s family, friends, relationships, or whoever. Because people who dislike you will sometimes mistreat your children just to get to you emotionally. Or they’ll plant little seeds, make slick comments, move weird, or secretly not want the best for your kids because of how they feel about you. I don’t play about my babies being around fake love, weird vibes, passive aggression, hidden resentment, or people who secretly want to see me struggle. As a mother, protecting your children also means protecting the environment and energy around them. I’m not waiting around for disrespect, trauma, weird behavior, or fake love to affect my children before I move different. I’m not risking my children’s peace, confidence, or emotional safety to keep anybody comfortable. People can say I’m doing “too much” all they want. I call it protecting mine‼️‼️🤏🏾 Because my job as a mother is not to keep grown people comfortable. My job is to protect my children physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually by any means necessary!
