Giving the baby that You birthed, the dad's last name when you don't even have his last name will always be so weird to me

Did you know? Africa had writing systems before Europe. The Nsibidi script (Nigeria) and Ge’ez script (Ethiopia) are older than most European writing systems. Africa had literacy long before colonization.

The church has convinced an entire generation that suffering is spiritual. That’s why we pray about things we should be fixing.

Since having kids I am completely incapable of handling it when kids are in distress. I didn't *like* it or anything before having kids, but I could tolerate it in reasonable doses. Since my first was born I can't watch movies where people hurt children, can't handle pictures of starving kids, can't read stories about it, can even feel myself getting somewhat upset about someone *else's* kid being truly distraught at the Dr's office. It's like a neurological switch flipped. I can barely even handle the scenes where the parents are worrying about their daughter in Moana.

The amount of Parties that are against EFF is shocking, they not even in power. This shows how @EFFSouthAfrica is huge.

It takes about a week to detox my kids after an extended stay at my parents house. They get spoiled with screen time there and I stopped fighting it. But the behavior change when we come home is impossible to ignore. My son becomes whiny and anxious. My daughter throws way more tantrums. I am not anti-screens. We let them watch a couple of shows at home. But there is a clear line, and beyond it, screens stop being entertainment and start dysregulating their nervous systems.

Just imagine EFF Creating Home Affairs anywhere in africa🙄. But it's the DA Creating in other countries. This country will be gone. And it is given away on a silver plattter. Because of ignorant douth africans who claim to love it.

hating cats is rooted in misogyny. ironic how dogs are “man’s best friend” but women who love cats are “crazy cat ladies.” Cats teach consent, boundaries, autonomy and love that is earned not entitled.

I don't think I'll ever be able to get over the fact that 80% of autoimmune patients are female, and new research is basically showing us that autoimmunity is connected to suppressed anger and rage

Dear Corporate South Africa We really truly & honestly cannot afford to drive to your overpriced offices daily to sit on Teams all day on laptops we brought from home. Nothing else from my side. And I know you can see my screen. Sincerely, South Africans
