I think we will begin to see other candidates drop out following @FrancescaHongWI's dominance in early polling. However, I am cautiously optimistic thay her team can navigate the ratfucking (à la Warren) that will undoubtedly follow.

1) Our mass transit has been great within recent memory. It's very fixable.
2) Our revenue is gobbled up by Republican districts -- that changes, and a lot of things improve quickly.
3) There's a will to try things here that I don't see in a lot of US cities. People are hungry.

I've moved back to Milwaukee three times now (born here, grew up in Glendale.) This city is great *despite* being absolutely fucked by the state legislature, multiple neoliberal county executives, and multiple recessions.
We could be a municipal socialist model again, tho.
