My son just started tennis to help with being a goaltender. There is a VAST difference between hockey parents and tennis parents. I definitely fit more with hockey parents 🤣

You don’t have to “heal” to be loved because being loved properly can help you with healing. You’ll never be fully “healed” it’s a life long journey and it’s pointless to suffer through isolation in hopes of “healing” alone.

I spent a lot of time thinking I found my "thing." I thought social media management was that "thing" all while suppressing my love for editing and YouTube. Idk what the point of this is other than the fact that I need to trust my gut a whole lot more. Maybe you do, too?

@thedigitalyenta I've had several people now want to hire me for my highest level of work on a "commission basis." Absolutely NOT. I hate that this is somehow accepted.

We need to talk about this. "Director of Social Media" is either a FT salaried job OR a contract job. It is NOT a commission based role. Anyone hiring for a "commission-based" or "affiliate" head of social or SMM is a scam. We cannot normalize this at the higher level.

I used to listen to podcast episodes where business owners would talk about how hard it was to set a boundary around checking emails. I used to roll my eyes and think 'get it together, it's not that hard.' Now I'm that person. And it IS hard. Ahk.

There were some classes in high school where, instead of doing the actual work, I would help the teachers edit papers. Now that's what I'm doing with my client's sales page. I don't love writing copy from scratch but making their words better? YES PLEASE. Full circle moment 🤣

The only resolutions I have for 2024 are to take Axel to comicon and a ren fair. And you best believe they're happening.
