We shouldn’t see our opinions as cherished possessions. We should treat them like everyday clothes. Look at the views in your closet that were trendy once. Discard the ones that look silly to you now. Wear the ideas that fit you today. Be ready to outgrow some of them tomorrow.

As a director, I am blessed to work alongside so many wonderful parents and volunteers. With HOA, I was able to have Tom Spencer as one of our Stage Managers keeping us on time at HOA: NYC! It was an awesome treat for me to have both him and Angie in the city! @HOAshowchoir

From our judges to our livestream teams, you never know how a group dynamic might be before one of our events. HOA: New York City had a diverse group of incredible collaborators all having a positive heart for making the student experience positive. What a joy! @HOAshowchoir

Rounding out our season in New York City was perfect this year! All weekend our team worked past any potential setbacks to host another really awesome event! Every performance ran on time all day! No penalties, no deductions, and no stopwatch! What a great team! @HOAshowchoir

What’s 22 years between friends!?!?! Brandon & I were in BSU Singers together. Now he is a professional composer/arranger doing amazing things. It was a hilarious night before HOA: Orlando laughing our socks off with him, Joan, and our pal Eric Van Cleave! @HOAshowchoir

The first surprise in Nashville for me came soon after arriving. I stopped to talk to some other directors and up walks one of my former students doing great things student teaching with of the visiting groups! You're doing and will do wonderful things Alli!!! @HOAshowchoir

I let the judges do their job, and others do the checking. Often, I only know the outcomes once I'm handed the results. I open the captions results to find that the son of some of my closest friends won Best Solo, and I got to present the award!Congrats, Caleb! @HOAshowchoir

This weekend, I “ran up the street” to Nebraska to judge at Millard West! Surrounded by great people, I witnessed some fantastic work by some vastly talented directors, choreographers, and students. So grateful for the honor to comment on their creative work in action! #showchoir
