Hurricanes beat Sens (99 points), Flyers (98 points), and Habs (106 points).
You could argue Vegas actually had the easier bracket and ran into a hobbled Avs team.

The late 3rd period high stick was definitely a penalty. But so was MacKinnon's clear embellishment, which was not called. Under IIHF rules, manpower would have stayed at 5-on-5 (unlike the NHL's 4-on-4 with coincidental minor).
