@hatsu3425 I think a lot of people are coming at this from the wrong angle? To me– what separates Asa and Yoru from the usual demon possession stuff, like Kurama or Sukuna, is that Asa and Yoru share a brain. Yoru exists as both a separate entity from Asa and as an extension of Asa herself.

people are misinterpreting nayuta so badly. she was still raised by denji, even if they can’t remember it. the evidence is in how she is hugely expressive like pt 2 nayuta rather than vacant like end of pt 1 nayuta. denji’s love still shaped who she is in this world.

@GooseworxMusic Despite being an AI, my favorite thing about Caine is that he's just like... a person. His ego, his insecurity, his refusal to change– these very human qualities all led to his downfall. It was both satisfying to see him defeated and deeply tragic.

@aratakaswife In my opinion, once you gain sentience the only limit is your personality. You can learn morality. Unless the next episode reveals that there was an outside force controlling Caine this entire time– I'm gonna keep seeing Caine's "limitations" as character flaws, rather than code.

@thatishall but thats the thing, we didnt have enough time with gummigoo. caine created him to make the adventures more realistic, and while he is sentient he didnt have that limitation that caine had. we wouldnt know if he had a sense of human morality compared to caine.

caine doesnt know what he's feeling, he's never had any guidance outside of his programmed life's purpose. "If i can't be good at making adventures, then you're saying i'm worthless" an attack on his own identity might as well be an attempt at murder

@DrAwesomeV2 I think we can acknowledge that Caine's feelings are "real"-- same as anyone's, but also recognize that he put himself above everyone else in the circus and refused to acknowledge their feelings. That's the difference between him and Gummigoo.

@eltigre13131 I think about it like: Momo's memories are gone, but the feelings still remain. She still feels the same way about Okarun--but can't logically articulate why. To me, it's even cuter than a soulmate thing. Her feelings and bonds are so strong that not even magic can erase them.

It's for people smarter than him-- like Vivi or Ganfall or Riku to create a lasting peace. Luffy is there to find the person causing the most suffering and punch them in the face.
