We were delighted to welcome @dai_le MP back to WIMR today. Ms. Le met with Associate Professor Thomas Tu to explore his Hepatitis B research and his impactful community efforts supporting those affected. Thank you, Ms. Le, for your visit and ongoing support.

Want to call out the Key Remarks section in Chapter 5- it’s important we accommodate additional reasons for treatment that a patient may want (prevent transmission, reducing risk of cancer or fibrosis, higher risk of infection- sex or household contacts, stigma, etc)

We focused on how expanded treatment could improve the lives of people #HBV. @thatliverguy talked about the many concerns people have re: relationships, transmissibility, cancer. And the big question, how do we empower & train up primary care?? 👨‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ 🟢🟢🟢
