@BruskPoet I did like the character. I wanted him in the newer games but he didnt make it in. His story being connected to Scorpion and his unqie powers made him fun and interesting imo. At least moreso than the half of the MK cast that hasn't made it into a game in well over a decade.

I really need people to stop pretending to like Cole Young or think he’s a good character. I’m seeing way too much of it after the movie came out. Feeling bad for the actor not getting a fair chance in the franchise is different than saying the character was was good. The two are separate. The first is very valid and I also share. I want Lewis Tan back and he clearly wants to be Kenshi. I think that’s great. He’s genuinely a great martial artist and would work so well in Mortal Kombat with his talents but they have to be put to good use. Having him return as Kenshi and forgetting he was ever Cole Young would be a better and I know 99% of MK fans would be just fine with it. Frankly, all this “Actually Cole Young was a good character they did him dirty bring Cole back” are crocodile tears. None of you actually like or think he’s a good character. None of you did when the first one came out. Stop pretending to think otherwise. His character was a major part of why the first movie sucked and goes against the essence of the franchise. No one wants to watch a MK movie focused on a character that doesn’t exist in the games. They want it focused on characters we know and love.

@AzarelHikaru @NoNamesSong Yeah. If HSR had Herta SS and Belobogs concise storytelling alongside the CGs and additional cutacenes during Amphoreus it'd be almost a 10/10. HSR could be way more emotional and respected than it is now but when they stretch a moment over 10 minutes it get harder to care.

@NoNamesSong I agree. It had better presentation than Genshin in its 1.x era but Genshin outstripped it by Natlan. The next improvement for HSR was in Amphoreus when they started making more liberal use of CGs to aid the storytelling but it was negated by the bloated word count.

@thatrandomdesk @SHIRO_116 We wouldn't mind at all if Hoyo varied more with skin tones. We just don't care for it as much as we do for the music, name inspirations, cultural references, etc.
