@thattai @supiebrian @DeadlineDayLive Ok mate. Beckham played for top clubs in every league, Scholes is routinely admired by his peers at that time, even Zidane has said what a good player he was. A.Cole is a left back, one of the least impactful positions on the pitch, so what if he was "world class"

Beckham, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, Ferdinand - all bang average compared to players in similar positions in the French, Brazilian and Italian teams

talked to a few execs at a mid-size company last week. no AI tools in their workflow. zero. still running everything through email chains + manual reports. one of them didn’t know what Claude was. only messed around with ChatGPT. these are people managing teams of 50+ employees and eight-figure budgets. and they think this is a fad. nobody outside of this app understands how fast this is moving. and most of them won’t until it’s too late.

Regardless of everything else, Anthropic’s shipping speed is seriously impressive.
Back in my PhD days, I had a terminal app on my phone so I could ssh into my server, monitor training runs, and launch experiments when I was away from my laptop.
Now you can orchestrate AI agents to write code on your server straight from your phone, without tying commands or code. Hard to imagine this 1 year ago.

@Geiger_Capital @Citrini7 The marginal cost of a white-collar worker with access to AI is still going to be cheaper than an actual human in the US. You have to worry more about why anyone would hire in the US at all for anything white-collar.
