@CloutStrife1st I have 1 use for trusts: afk leveling dps, tag the two packs, step away for the tank to get aggro, do something else for 5 minutes, repeat with next two packs, lock in for the boss, rinse repeat, it's not fast, but it is largely hands free

@_vierapilled Fanfest is an advertisement of the game as well as an event for the fans. It gets a lot of interaction so the algo boosts ff things to people interacting with fan fest. The last few months i've noticed that the algo really pushes 1 or 2 hot topics to you instead of a range

@Regar_XIV Wasn't it a thing before that different classes had different windows so for example a dancer would be better of boosting a specific class over just looking at no-no meters and picking the highest name on the list for buff synergy?

I really hope them removing the 2 min meta in Evercold doesn’t mean all party buffs are gone. Removing all forms of party synergy in an MMO makes zero sense and it’s disheartening seeing so many people cheering for it.

@Bigandready2 @KaiyokoStar You don't need those oddly specific old ones, think of it as "must be this tall to ride" its not *just* the 4'6" people it's 4'6"+ anything higher will over cap which means any extra gil/scrips/etc you use to buy that higher stat'ed materia is entirely wasted

I just beat the story trial for Valigarmanda and... Honestly I'm glad I didn't stream the FFXIV Dawntrail story. I haven't felt this disinterested in an FFXIV expansion since... Well, since Dawntrail haha. I also feel like this exact wording showing up fifty times also adds to how much of a chore this expac feels so far.

@thatweirdfurry2 Little of DT stuck with me, (which is mostly why I've not made a video about I, I'd have to replay it... again) But no one was itching for a war, it's not like the people where all like "LETS GO TO WAR WITH THE WORLD"

The best way I can describe it is imagine if all of Naruto/his support cast's growth was crammed into 80 episodes and not 720 or 470 if you account for filler. But here its mostly filler, and nothing is ever REALLY challenged.

@DSR_Joker Yeah the lizard brother has a very stupid reason for being evil(people don't know suffering so he's going to make them suffer so they don't ask for war) but he gets almost no hate for it because he's only seen around 10 times. And has a low profile until he's being a villain.

@thatweirdfurry2 Fare enough, I've said since Day 1 DT didn't need to be 100 quests like 70 at most, and even that might be too much... I think a lot of what turns people off of Wuk is over exposure, and boredom.

@DSR_Joker I dislike that this knockoff concept of a character dominates the story to the point where it has more lines than all but 2 character in a decade old game. A tertiary character can get away with information sliding off them like water from a duck, but not a main character.

I don't hate Wuk; I just don't feel like I was given a real reason to care either.

@V3RYJOSH I maintain wuk could have had an S tier VA giving it their all, and people would still hate Wuk because she's not a character, shes a record that's stuck on the same fucking line and anot an ounce of insight.

@Usalia_Astra I mean, you should probably find a static if that's the experience you want. There are people who have been filtered by the msq(solo instance in shb and ew) and level cap as a battle/crafter mentor because the bar is that low in DT and skips aren't skill dependant

Genuinely I dont pay 215$ a year to play ffxiv to have people no understand the BASIC fights at level 100 holy shit.

I heard about the outrage and negative reception but I never looked into it since I wasn't playing at the time and didn't care to give it any attention haha. I'm back because there were some cool things from the fanfest presentation... and Jollibee... There's some really weird writing decisions like... How do people not know about the equivalent of a thanksgiving feast? It seems like such an important thing especially when the big main leader is directly involved with it. It felt like watching Americans growing up in America be surprised Turkey is a traditional Thanksgiving staple, if you will.

@Maziodyne_ @llStonesll AST, the other pure healer(heals damage taken) gets a lot of delayed effect utility and works better if you are familiar with what's about to happen(like shield healers that need to get their mitigation shields up before damage comes in) this makes CNJ the best place to learn

@Maziodyne_ @llStonesll nuance out the window, CNJ/WHM and AST heal damage taken, SCH/SGE apply shields to prevent damage in the first place. Healing is in general proactive to beat out the big hit, WHM is different in that it's spells aren't delayed so you can't pop (useful) heals before damage. 1/2

Thinking of picking up healer for when my friends start and I can make sure they DONT die, whats the TLDR on each one?
