I paid ₦250,000 for my best friend’s hospital bills when he had an accident. For weeks, I was the one running around, calling doctors, raising money, and staying with him in the hospital. Two years later, I lost my job and needed a guarantor for a new opportunity. I called him. His response? “Bro, I don’t want to get involved in anything that could affect my reputation.” I just laughed and hung up. The same reputation that wasn’t too important when my money was paying his bills. Would you still call him a friend?

One sign of a failing nation is when those in power ask citizens to pray instead of taking decisive action with the resources and authority available to protect lives and secure property. Prayer is important, but leadership demands responsibility, action, and accountability.

@ChuksEricE How to know a failed Nation is when the people in power ask the people they’re leading to pray rather than taken actions with the resources available to protect and secure the lives and property of the people.

"While growing up, when it’s time to pray for Nigeria, I was always at the forefront praying. But I later realized I was f∅øling myself. As long as you tell me to pray while there is somebody elected and being paid to do the job, prayer alone is not enough. How can you tell Nigerians to pray when someone is being paid to do the job?" — KokoPee replies Minister of Defence, CG Christopher Musa (Rtd), over his recent call for Nigerians to remain prayerful.

"I have been seeing of recent some social media giants in Nigeria going around trying to rise protests. Nobody is stopping anyone from protesting, but we should always remember the unintended consequences, because these protests might be hijacked and people might be k!ll£d or injûred. Many soldiers continue to bear the consequences of their service to our nation through their sacrifices after they are being insûlted by the same people they are protecting" — Minister of Defence, CG Christopher Musa (Rtd)
