@enidzilla First it's gross, but then it keeps going. Especially with Art pouring bleach and salt on the victim. So it gets so silly it's almost comedic, and then it goes into extremely disturbing territory when her mom shows up and it's revealed the victim is still alive

@enidzilla Yeah as a horror fan since childhood the gore in movies ain't all that, Terrifier especially does tend to get almost cartoony with it ? Which was actually strength of that scene, since it has you speedrun through several emotions

I remember when Terrifier 2 came out my friend said it's the most fucked up thing he's ever seen and that I'd probably want to throw up during the bedroom scene like he did. The blu-ray finally comes out in the UK (we didn't get a theatrical release) and I watched the movie and after the bedroom scene my reaction was "seriously??? THAT made him want to throw up????" Gore in movies has never bothered me, even the broken bones in that scene didn't bother me and everyone who knows me knows I have a fear of broken bones but when it's just over the top it won't bother me.

@R34P3RGames Terrifier's gore has two reasons actually 1) to ensure Art is viewed as the bas guy, and doesn't become a borderline anti-hero like Jason 2) build tension, us knowing what he can do adds tension to every scene where he acts all silly Basically bomb under the table

There’s not a comparison between these movies. While Saw is gory, there’s 9/10 times a purpose. With Terrifier, that movie pushes the most brutal kills for no rhyme or reason. I’m not offended but these movies other than the craftsmanship of the kills is ASS.
