Zach Cregger explains that his ‘RESIDENT EVIL’ movie isn’t adapting any of the games as it would be redundant. “There’s kind of no winning there if I were to tell Leon’s story, because the games do such a great job. It would just be kind of redundant &… disappointing.”
This reasoning falls apart when you hear him talk about the movie and realize he’s adapting the mechanics of resident evil and how that feeling of playing it would translate to film over the games story and characters
“I just want a RESIDENT EVIL movie that’s based on the games!” Here’s the thing. You guys got that and mostly hated it (even though it was pretty good)!
